Al Shamal Municipality, represented by the Services Affairs Department, carried out an extensive campaign to combat insects and rodents. A statement from the Ministry of Municipality explained that sanitisation and disinfection operations were also carried out as part of the campaign while covering municipality buildings, streets, commercial centres, public parks, Al Ruwais Port, fish market and archaeological sites in the region. Workers’ housing and the Al Shamal slaughterhouse were also cleaned.
