Doha: Chances of rain and strong wind are likely during the weekend according to Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD). Poor visibility and misty to foggy weather conditions are also expected at first with some clouds.
The wind will mainly blow in southeasterly to southwesterly direction at 5-15 KT on Friday.
QMD also warned of strong wind on Saturday at places at times onshore and offshore as well as slight to blowing dust. Partly cloudy weather condition is also expected on this day along with a chance of scattered rain at north offshore.
The wind is forecast to blow in a southerly direction at first then turn northwesterly at 15-25 KT gusting to 33 KT at times onshore and offshore on Saturday.
Furthermore, temperatures during the weekend will likely drop to 16 degrees Celsius at the lowest and 26 degrees Celsius at the highest.
Sea heights, on Friday, are expected to vary between 1-3 ft inshore reaching 4ft offshore. While sea heights will vary 2-5 ft inshore and from 4 to 9 ft rising to 11 ft offshore.
On both days, the visibility will range from 1-8 kilometres and 2 kilometres or less than that at places at first.
