Booster for school students, staff without prior appointment

The Ministry of Education and Higher Education announced yesterday that the third or booster dose of Pfizer and Moderna vaccines against Covid-19 will be provided in all health centres without prior appointment to teachers, administrative staff, and students in public and private schools who meet the appropriate conditions.

The ministry explained in a circular sent to schools: “We kindly ask you to confirm that school staff and students from the age of 12 and above gets the booster dose of the Covid-19 vaccine by going to any health centre without a prior appointment, as soon as they are eligible to receive it.”

"This arises from the importance of providing a safe study environment for our students, and in co-ordination with the Primary Health Care Corporation to combat the spread of the novel coronavirus.”
