Bakery penalised for violating law

Doha Municipality Health Control inspectors spotted yesterday a bakery at Umm Ghuwailina that wraps baked bread in old newspaper.

Accordingly, a violation of law no 8 for 1990 regarding Human Food Control report was issued to the bakery. 

The Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) has urged all bakeries and their workers to avoid such a practice as the newspaper has inks that could cause severe health hazards to consumers.

Meanwhile, the Public Gardens Department at Al Khor and Al Thakhira Municipality has decorated a number of streets and gardens, planting around 90,000 seedlings of seasonal flowers.

Al Daayan Municipality Municipal Affairs Department has cleaned Simaisma beach of all the refuse materials. It also conducted regular maintenance for the plants and trees.
