A stream in northern Qatar has come under scrutiny for its pink water, prompting the authorities concerned to collect samples for examination.

The matter was brought to light by Mohamed Abdul Mohsen al-Fayyad on Twitter. He posted a video on this phenomenon and said it calls for an analysis to ascertain the reason behind the pink colour of the water. He later posted an image and a video of water samples being collected from the stream for analysis. He also thanked the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change and Ministry of Municipality for the quick response.
