The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced a six-month temporary diversion for 1.5km between Al Jabal Roundabout and Ooredoo Roundabout.
The closure that started on Thursday has been announced in order to enable the construction works of the third phase of Al Wakra Main Road Project.
During the closure, traffic will be shifted to two lanes parallel to the closed main road. Road users coming from Mesaieed will be shifted to the left and continue straight to Doha through Ooredoo Round About. The link road between Mesaieed Road and Al Nefayed Street will be diverted to Al Steel Street.
Ashghal will install road signs advising motorists of the traffic shift and requested all road users to abide by the directed speed limit and follow road signs to ensure their safety.
