Arab, Asian tourists find local attractions unique, attractive

A number of Arab and Asian tourists, who opted to spend their summer holidays in Qatar, have stressed that the country hosts a good number of tourist-friendly facilities that make their stay enjoyable.

Tourists from different walks of life liked in particular places such as the Culture Village Foundation - Katara, Souq Waqif, The Pearl-Qatar, the various beaches across the country, and different shopping malls and recreation facilities, local Arabic daily Al-Sharq reported.

Saood al-Mahmoudi, a tourist from Oman, pointed out that he enjoyed staying in Qatar and has become a regular visitor as he finds something new in every visit. He also observed that the number of tourists in the country are growing year on year.

"Moreover, the Qatari people are generous, hospitable and welcoming. I love Souq Waqif in particular as it stands unique among other similar places in the world," he said.

Japanese tourist Mayko was of the view that Qatar is home to very beautiful tourist sites that suite the tastes and preferences of various people. She has visited Qatar thrice and observed that the country is developing rapidly in all fields, especially infrastructure, which is very clear for any visitor to the country. She in particular likes the nature of the country and its bright sunny atmosphere.

Yunizawa, also from Japan, said that she enjoyed the traditional markets in the country, in particular Souq Waqif and the various beaches, especially the Sealine beach, which she described as very beautiful. 

Another Japanese tourist stressed that Qatar's heritage is very attractive for tourists and he enjoyed greatly the cultural diversity with its various festivals and summer activities. "It appeals to me immensely that Qatar is keen to maintain its heritage and traditions and blend them in modern life and architecture," he added.
