DOHA: Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received a cable of congratulations from H M King Abdullah II bin Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in which he expressed his congratulations to H H the Amir and the Qatari people for the success of the Shura Council’s first legislative elections. The King also expressed his wishes for the council to carry out its role successfully, reiterating the depth of the historic ties between the two countries and the two peoples, and His Majesty’s commitment to strengthening ties in all fields, and wished the Qatari people further progress and prosperity.
