H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Amir of the Country, today issued Amiri Order No. (3) for the year 2020 to form a cabinet.
According to the Amiri Order published on the Amiri Diwan website, the new Prime Minister H E Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani will also take charge as Minister of Interior.
The rest of the ministers in the earlier cabinet retain the same portfolios as before.
The order stipulated that the cabinet be formed as follows:
1- H E Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, Prime Minister, as Minister of Interior.
2- H E Dr Khalid bin Mohamed Al Attiyah, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs.
3- H E Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.
4- H E Ali Shareef Al Emadi, Minister of Finance.
5- H E Dr Gaith bin Mubarak Al Kuwari, Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs.
6- H E Salah bin Ghanem Al Ali, Minister of Culture and Sports.
7- H E Dr Issa bin Saad Al Jafali Al Nuaimi, Minister of Justice and Acting Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs.
8- H E Dr Mohammed Abdul Wahed Al Hammadi, Minister of Education and Higher Education.
9- H E Jassim bin Saif Al Sulaiti, Minister of Transport and Communications.
10- H E Dr Hanan Mohamed Al Kuwari, Minister of Public Health.
11- H E Abdulla bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie, Minister of Municipality and Environment.
12- HE Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, Minister of Trade and Industry.
13- H E Yousuf Mohamed Al Othman Fakhroo, Minister of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs.
14- H E Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi, Minister of State for Energy Affairs, member of the Council of Ministers.
The Emiri order stipulated that it be enforced from the date of its issuance and that it be published in the official gazette.
