Amir appoints new Prime Minister

Doha: The Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, today issued Amiri Order No. (2) for the year 2020 to appoint H E Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani as Prime Minister.

The Amiri order shall be executed and executed from the date of its issuance and to be published in the Official Gazette.

Amir accepts the resignation of H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani

Earlier the Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani today issued Emiri Order No. (1) for the year 2020 to accept the resignation of H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani, Prime Minister.

The Amiri decree stipulated that it should be enforced from the date of its issuance and to be published in the official gazette.

“In the beginning, I would like to express my sincere gratitude and thanks to His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani for the precious confidence that he has shown me throughout the period of my service, and for his guidance to me over the past years, and I also hope that I have succeeded in bearing responsibility and honesty throughout my service for the homeland and the Amir.

“I also thank everyone who worked with me and they were the best support for me. May God protect the Amir, may God protect Qatar, and peace and God's mercy and blessings be upon you,” former Prime Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani tweeted on his official handle.
