The Acting Executive Director of Aman Centre, Abdulaziz al Ishaq, said in statements to Qatar News Agency (QNA) that the celebration of International Women's Day is an opportunity to learn about the progress by women in various countries, pointing out the different activities carried out by the centre throughout the week as part of the celebration, where many awareness films and video materials have been screened.
Al-Ishaq said the workshops will issue recommendations and proposals that the Aman Centre will work on embodying, noting the centre will soon launch a prize for women on International Women's Day, especially as it is working on submitting a proposed law to protect women and children from violence in co-operation with several authorities in the country.
For his part, the consultant in the Protection Department, Dr Salah al-Mannai, said in statements that Aman Centre is keen to listen and benefit from all active community experiences, indicating that the 'Be Confident' women's empowerment workshop is a motivational workshop that pushes women to move forward, because motivation is considered one of the most important factors for the success of personal and professional life, and a necessary component of performance excellence.
The Director of Media & Communication department at Aman Centre Hanan al-Ali, said that empowering women enhances their active and positive integration into society, giving them greater opportunities for success at all levels, and supporting their participation and involvement in practical and cultural life.
