* 60th anniversary of 'world’s most iconic motor car brand' celebrated
Alfardan Automobiles, the official importer of MINI in Qatar, joined the global celebrations for MINI’s 60th anniversary with the official unveiling of two brand-new models of the "world’s most iconic motor car".
The MINI 60 Years Edition cars were presented to loyal customers and VIP guests at Alfardan’s MINI showroom to mark six decades since the first MINI rolled off the production line in the UK in 1959.
Exclusively produced for this landmark occasion, the special edition MINI 3 Door and MINI 5 Door cars "capture the unique heritage and status of the hugely popular and much-loved automotive brand", Alfardan Automobiles has said in a statement.

The new models "perfectly showcase MINI’s British roots and fun driving style while merging its most famous characteristics with the very latest in modern design, comfort and styling".
With a timeless British Racing Green paint finish and twin bonnet stripes, featuring a striking 60 Years logo on the left-hand stripe, the new MINI 60 Years Edition cars evoke MINI’s proud sporting heritage and renowned driving pedigree made famous by the celebrated motorsports designer, John Cooper.
The 60th anniversary design logo can also be seen in an LED logo projection, visible when the driver's door is opened, and on the front headrests and steering wheel.
The MINI 60 Years Edition includes, as standard, a sports leather steering wheel along with sports seats in leather finish while LED rear lights feature a traditional Union Jack design.
