Doha: Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) has appointed Nayef Al Shammari as Executive Director of Media Relations.
Previously he served as the Assistant Executive Director for Media Relations at HMC. Al Shammari is a young competent Qatari and has been involved in media work in the health sector since graduating from the Mass Media Department at Qatar University in 2005.
In addition to his long experience in media work, especially in the field of health, Al Shammari has obtained many prestigious certificates in the field of management and development, as well as specialized courses in the journalistic and media fields.
Since graduating from Qatar University, Al Shammari rose up the career ladder. He was a health journalist at the beginning of his career, and then he was appointed as Director of Media Relations at HMC in 2015, and then was appointed as Assistant Executive Director for Media Affairs in 2017.
Al Shammari had a prominent role in media and communications, during the COVID-19 pandemic in his capacity as a member of Health Care Liaison Committee of the Ministry of Public Health.
