Officials at the inaugural ceremony
The ceremony was attended by Al Shamal Municipality director Hamad Juma al-Mannai and a number of senior officials. The opening of Al Mamlha is based on the directives of HE the Minister of Municipality to open a dedicated beach for women.
Al Mamlha Beach, spread across 15,000sqm has its main entrance gate from the northern side and completely fenced off from the western and northern sides to maintain the privacy of the visitors.

Al Mamlha Beach for women is open daily from 9am to 10pm
The women's only beach has all the necessary public services such as toilets, guard rooms, shaded seats, barbecue areas, waste bins, female guards, and a barrier of ropes to block the entry of water bikes. The place is equipped with solar-powered lights.
