Doha: After witnessing huge rush last week, especially during the weekend, Al Khor Family Park has extended visiting hours for general public.
Ministry of Municipal and Environment has amended the timing of the park to 8am until 11pm, seven days a week, including Friday.
Last Friday saw huge queues outside the park for tickets. Thousand of people with children were seen standing for hours in serpentine lines outside the gate as soon as the park opened at 2pm.
The park reopened recently after major renovations and has become a big hit among families with the many new features it added, especially the mini zoo, which houses more than 300 animals.
Now onwards Sunday will be open for all, while Tuesdays are reserved for women and children only. Entry on rest of the days are restricted only for families.
Al Khor Park timing:
Timing: All days of the week (including Friday) from 8 am to 11 pm
Sunday: Open to all
Tuesday: For women and children only
Rest of the week only for families
