Doha: Qatar Meteorology Department stated that Abu Samra has recorded the lowest temperature so far this winter.
In a post on social media, the weather department said that the temperature reached 5 degrees Celsius in Abu Samra.
Meanwhile, it also warned that there will be a drop in temperature between Saturday, February 12, 2022 and Monday, February 14, 2022 as Northwesterly wind returns.
The department said that fresh to strong Northwesterly wind with speed ranging between 12-22kt with gusts exceeding 30kt will cause dust and low visibility to less than 2km in open areas.
The maximum temperature during this time will range between 18-23 degrees Celsius with the minimum ranging between 8-15 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, the apparent temperatures will be less than that during night and early morning.
Qatar Meteorology urged all to be careful and to avoid marine activities during this time.
