3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum hosts workshops for teachers

In an effort to strengthen Qatar’s physical literacy and enhance its relationship with schools, Qatar Museums (QM) organised workshops at 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum.

The aim was to establish sustained communication with physical educators to foster an environment that values and promotes physical literacy among youth in Qatar.

More than 120 physical education teachers from both international and government schools participated in the workshops on August 28 and 31.

In a press statement, 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum director Abdulla Yousuf al-Mulla said: “Physical literacy is crucial to a life-long commitment to healthy living. Being physically active and health conscious is a choice people can make at any age. However, we want to offer that choice to people from the earliest possible moment through education. We look forward to playing a pivotal role in enhancing and promoting physical education, and working alongside physical education teachers who build such special bonds with their students and have the power to influence the future health of our country.”

Following the workshops, participating physical educators met with the museum’s Learning and Outreach team and were taken on a guided tour of the 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum.
