292 Covid-19 cases, 2 deaths and 303 recoveries in Qatar on Aug 12

Ministry of Public Health today recorded 292 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) and 303 people recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of people recovered in Qatar to 110,627. 

Ministry announced two new deaths of people aged 40 and 86, who were receiving medical care.

All new cases have been placed in isolation and are receiving necessary health care according to their health status

The total number of positive COVID-19 cases recorded in Qatar is 113,938 and there are 3121 active cases under treatment. So far, 190 people died from the coronavirus in Qatar.

Ministry conducted 4706 tests in the last 24 hours taking the total tests done so far to 533995 tests. There are 57 cases of hospital admissions in the last 24 hours.

Three patients were admitted to intensive care due to health complications resulting from infection with the virus, bringing the total number of cases receiving medical care in intensive care currently to 75.

While the restrictions of COVID-19 are gradually being lifted in Qatar, it is important for everyone to play their role in controlling the virus by following precautionary measures:

​Adherence to physical distancing.

Avoid close contact with others, crowded places and confined closed spaces where other people congregate.

Wearing a face mask.

Washing hands regularly.
