Qatar reports one death, 410 Covid-19 cases and 426 recoveries on July 18

Ministry of Public Health today recorded 410 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) and 426 people recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of people recovered in Qatar to 103023. The Ministry also announced one death due to Covid-19. 

The total number of positive COVID-19 cases recorded in Qatar is 106308 and there are 3131 active cases under treatment. So far, 154 people died from the coronavirus in Qatar. Ministry conducted 3406 tests in last 24 hours taking the total tests done so far to 438990 tests. There are 29 cases of hospital admissions in the last 24 hours.

Four patients were admitted to intensive care due to health complications resulting from infection with the virus, bringing the total number of cases receiving medical care in intensive care currently to 132.

Ministry announced the death of a person aged 81, who was receiving necessary medical care.

All new cases have been placed in isolation and are receiving necessary health care according to their health status.

“There has been an increase in cases among families. This is of great concern as this population group includes the highest percentage of the elderly and people with chronic conditions.  Now more than ever, we must be careful and protect the most vulnerable,” MoPH said in a statement.

The Ministry of Public Health urged anyone with symptoms of COVID-19 to contact the unified helpline (16000), or to go to one of the virus testing centers, since the earlier detection of the disease results in a better chance of recovery. 

The main screening centers include Muaither Health Center, Rawdat Al Khail Health Center, Umm Slal Health Center, and Al Gharafa Health Center
