Ministry registers 136 new Covid-19 cases and 21 recoveries in last 24 hours

Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) announces 136 new confirmed cases of Covid-19 as well as 21 more cases of recovery, taking the total number of recovered patients to 227. 

Some new cases are related to travelers who came to Qatar from coronavirus-hit countries and others related to contacts, including citizens and residents. Some other new cases were reported among expatriate workers.

The new cases have been put in quarantine and are receiving the necessary medical care.

The total number of positive COVID-19 cases recorded in Qatar till now stands at 2512 and there are 2279 active cases under treatment.

MOPH has conducted 45339 tests so far in Qatar.

The Ministry of Public Health calls on all members of society to stay at home and not go out except where absolutely necessary. The Ministry of Public Health also requests all members of society to cooperate fully and adhere to all health guidelines and preventive measures to reduce the risk of infection, including sticking to social and physical distancing guidelines. 

It also recommends that the public regularly visit the MOPH website to find out more advice about staying safe.​​
