Employee Relations Specialist

Job Purpose: 
To assist in the maintenance of employee relations policies, processes, procedures, maintain records and databases of employees and conduct key HR processes. 

Duties & Responsibilities: 
•    Assists in the development and implementation of employee relations processes, systems or procedures in order to improve efficiency and meet the changing requirements of internal customers. 
•    Provides information and suggestions, including recommendations and options, as an input to management decision-making. 
•    Undertakes and co-ordinates the transactions for specialist employee relations activities and monitor progress and ensure timely delivery of end results. 
•    Identifies and resolves relatively less complex non-routine problems related to maintaining organization structure on ERP and other employee services while escalating those beyond own expertise. 
•    Assists in the preparation and production of management reports utilizing relevant tools to contribute to the effective understanding of key HR issues within the company. 
•    Prepares and runs employee periodic payroll and all associated tasks including maintenance of leave records, payment of advances, timesheets etc. in order to ensure smooth and accurate processing of all transactions. 
•    Maintains employee records and conducts employee lifecycle processes from onboarding, induction to separation while maintaining data transactions on ERP.


Desired Profile: 
Hard Competencies: 
•    Higher Diploma or Bachelor Degree in relevant field 

•    2 years post degree recruitment experience or 8-10 years of clerical/administrative assistant experience in employee relations function 

•    Excellent phone skills and pleasant phone manner 
•    Effective written and verbal communication 
•    Strong organizational skills and attention to detail 
•    ERP Operations skills and PC skills using Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) 

Soft Competencies: 
•    High energy and passion about staffing or other human resources fields 
•    Ability to work in a team environment and contribute creatively and collaboratively 
•    Ability to effectively prioritize workload and provide support to existing personnel 
•    Communicate in-person with internal staff, external customers, and field employees
