Position Title:    Economic Analyst
Business Division:    Petrochemical Projects
Primary Purpose of the Job:
Analyze financial information to produce forecasts of business, industry, and economic conditions for use in making investment decisions.Prepare plans of action for investment based on financial analyses. - Evaluate and compare the relative quality of various securities in a given industry.Support the department's effort to implement the corporate downstream strategy and business plan; Coordinate preparation of Downstream Directorate's annual business plan ( for input into QP's Business plan).Prepare progress reports, monthly reports about DD's projects. Coordinate with the DD's departments to prepare the annual budget. Represents Downstream Directorate to develop the Quality Management System (QMS) to obtain ISO certificate.
Education:
B.Sc. degree in Chemical/Petroleum Engineering with strong awareness of Economics, Finance, Market Analysis and Business Development is required.

Experience & Skills:

12 years minimum of professional experience in hydrocarbon processing with business development and project economics is required.
Experience in mergers and acquisitions, strategy, and-or corporate development is highly preferred.
Proven international projects management skills are required; international business development and evaluation is a plus.
Highly developed knowledge, experience and skills to discuss business strategy and provide analysis.
Hand-on experience developing financial, business appraisal and economic models to support the integrated project; experience modelling integrated developments is a plus.
Proficient in building/using/modifying models to support projects evaluation and development, Decision Making and strategic planning Broad and current knowledge of a wide spectrum of industries, namely: petrochemical industries including market trends, business drivers and downstream transformation industries
Ability to work with different cultures and backgrounds, activities and work processes. Proficiency in specifying and supporting models for screening prospects and pushing investments;
 Ability to create a positive and professional business relationship with internal and external groups.
