Under the esteemed patronage of Qatar Racing Club's Chairman H E Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Thani, the much-awaited first round of the championship is primed for an evening of adrenaline-fueled excitement.

Initially slated for the previous month but delayed due to inclement weather conditions, the championship is all set to rev up this evening. The action-packed agenda kicks off with technical inspections beginning at 4:00 PM, leading into practice and testing sessions from 5:00 PM onward.

During the session, participants will have the chance to acquaint themselves with the track and fine-tune their vehicles for over an hour and a half.

Following the practice sessions, a comprehensive meeting will be convened, ensuring participants, the organizing committee, and the judging panel are well-informed on the competition's regulations and organizational aspects.

Qualifying trial competitions are then scheduled to begin, with two qualifying sessions aimed at providing competitors ample time to optimize their vehicles for the tandem competitions.

Each participant will be granted two runs on the track, evaluated to determine their placement in the dual matchups scheduled to start at 7:00 PM.

The evening of intense drifting will culminate in the recognition of the top three winners, promising an exhilarating spectacle for all present.

A significant addition in this season is the introduction of the National category, initiated under the guidance of QRC General Manager Sheikh Jabor bin Khalid Al Thani.

This category aims to provide a platform for local drivers within the international championship. A separate ranking system and podium recognition will acknowledge the top three finishers in each round, motivating Qatari and resident competitors to showcase their skills on the drift circuit.

The first round is expected to draw significant public interest, with a comprehensive experience awaiting all spectators.

Accompanying family-friendly events include a dedicated children’s play area, a service area hosting various restaurants, competitive activities for video game enthusiasts, and special car races for children, ensuring an enjoyable experience for attendees of all ages.
