A Doha Criminal Court has fined a Nepalese truck driver QR5,000 for causing injury to two workers at a farm while he was bringing down a container from a truck.
Local Arabic daily Arrayah reported that the court convicted the man of negligence as he did not observe the necessary safety measures while offloading the container, which caused severe injuries to two workers on whom the container fell.
The two victims submitted medical reports in the court indicating their injuries. The defendant also admitted to his negligence in the court.
