Qatar 2022 World Cup ticket prices and how to apply

Doha: FIFA will start the initial phase of Qatar 2022 World Cup ticket application today, January 19, 2022 at 13:00 Doha time and will finish on February 8, 2022 at 13:00 Doha time.

FIFA is also offering a special price for Qatar residents (category 4) starting from QR 40 for group matches and going up to QR 750 for finals.

Fans can book either individual matches or team-specific ticket series and four stadium tickets.

Tickets for sitting with team supporters will be offered later, FIFA announced.

All tickets will be sold in Qatari riyal (QAR) to both residents of Qatar and international fans.

Ticket prices apply to both adults and children, regardless of the age of the child.

There are four ticket categories for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022:

Category 1 is the highest priced and located in prime areas within the stadium.

Categories 2 and 3 are located outside of the category 1 area.

Ticket category 4 is only reserved for Qatar residents (for all online sales, at the time of the order, each ticket applicant must provide the domestic address of their residence in Qatar as well as their QID number).

Ticket categories 1, 2 and 3 are available to all fans.

Qatar residents refers to any individual legally residing on a permanent or temporary basis in Qatar, including Qatari citizens and citizens from other countries (with such foreign citizens to include, inter alia, individuals who legally work in Qatar).

Accessibility Tickets correspond to a dedicated allocation of tickets for disabled people and people with limited mobility. If you apply for Accessibility Tickets, you will be required to provide proof of eligibility as part of the ticket application process.

Such proof of eligibility must be provided upon ticket collection (if applicable) and, upon request, at the entrance to the stadium.

Application process

The official FIFA ticketing portal FIFA.com/tickets is the exclusive online ticket sales channel for the general public. To apply for tickets, you must create your own FIFA ticketing account with complete and accurate information.

During random selection draw sales periods, ticket applicants are invited to apply for tickets that are later allocated amongst the ticket applicants pursuant to a random selection draw process conducted by FIFA Ticketing. During random selection draw sales periods, it makes no difference when the application is submitted, so long as it is submitted prior to the end of the respective random selection draw sales period, as all applications are processed together for each of these sales period.

If demand for a given match and/or ticket category exceeds the available ticket inventory for the domestic or international market, then random selection draw(s) will take place at the end of the respective random selection draw sales period to determine which applicants are allocated tickets. FIFA Ticketing may conduct random draws in any manner it deems appropriate, including by reserving certain percentages of tickets for random allocation amongst certain groups of applicants and markets.

Each ticket applicant may be successful, partially successful or unsuccessful in obtaining the tickets for which they applied. All successful, partially, and unsuccessful ticket applicants are notified by email of the outcome of their applications. If their ticket application is successful or partially successful, ticket applicants will receive email communication with further information about payment, including the steps to follow and the deadline to pay for the tickets.
