A host of Ooredoo volunteers distributed dates and water to families and people on the Doha Corniche last week to kick off the company’s CSR activities.
Ooredoo volunteers arrived just before sundown to surprise people with water and dates to break their fast for Iftar, according to a statement.
Manar Khalifa al-Muraikhi, Ooredoo director of PR and Corporate Communications, said: “Like every year, we surprised people passing by our Doha Corniche with water and dates to break their fast. It’s a great start to our CSR activities for this year, as we breakfast with the people of our country. We encourage everyone to follow us and stay updated on our great activities and offers that we have in store for this year’s Holy Month.”
The volunteers, who represented some of the business units across the company, were stationed at the end of the Corniche near West Bay, to distribute the boxes at sunset to passers-by as well as people driving along the seafront.
