The municipal inspectors on patrol from the Department of Protection and Wildlife at the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) have caught some individuals hunting wild reptiles violating environmental law.
The action was taken as per the Law No. 4 of 2002 regulating the hunting of wild animals, birds, and reptiles, the Ministry tweeted.
The ministry said that necessary legal measures are being taken against violators to preserve the environment of the country.
