MoI officials highlight importance of Milipol Qatar

 Maj-Gen Dr Abdullah Yousef al-Mal, adviser to HE the Minister of Interior, said the organising committee of Milipol Qatar 2021 has been successful in holding in the event "with the participation of so many exhibitors from different countries and in such exceptional circumstances".

In a statement issued by the Ministry of Interior on Monday, he said the exhibition hosts many specialised companies in the field of security, and is a "great opportunity" to benefit from each other by sharing experiences and learn about the latest developments in the field of security.

He also noted that the organisation of the exhibition is also proof of the success of Qatar's health policy while taking the necessary Covid-19 preventive measures to make life normal.

Talking to the media, Maj-Gen Abdullah Mohamed al-Suwaidi, assistant director of Public Security, said security personnel are in constant need of identifying the latest products from specialised security and safety companies as well as the latest equipment and innovations that help them in the performance of their duties with the required efficiency.

This exhibition is a "great opportunity" for the parties concerned from the military and security fields to discuss key issues with the exhibitors, especially because the country will host a major sporting event such as the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The MoI and the Safety and Security Operations Committee of the World Cup are keen to provide everything the participating teams need in order to make the tournament a success, he added.
