Kahramaa launches new mobile application

Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation (Kahramaa) has announced the launch of a new version of its application for smartphones featuring a package of updated services and options.

The update is part of Kahramaa’s “endeavour to provide high-quality smart services in accordance with the highest quality standards”, the corporation has said in a press statement.

The new version of the Kahramaa App includes updates to ‘move in’ and ‘move out’ services wherein a customer can upload the required documents and select the date of service connection for one or multiple premises or to move in to new premises, the statement explains.

The customer receives an SMS to pay or retrieve insurance, and also for follow-up status, with the request being completed within one to three working days.

Besides, the new version includes updates to the service tracking and tariff sections.

The Kahramaa mobile application includes various services, including self-meter reading – wherein a customer can enter the meter reading regularly, view due bills, apply for water connection to ezab (farms), certificates, view service centre maps and book a visit and report service disconnection, among others, the statement adds.

The corporation has invited all customers to register or update their data via its website, km.qa or the Kahramaa mobile application to complete services online and avail of the smart services package.

Registration and data update will enable customers to receive SMS from Kahramaa that are meant to make them aware of monthly electricity and water consumption rate and bills, as well as alert them in case of exceeding the regular consumption levels.
