Indian students in Qatar achieve top results in IIT-JEE exams

Two senior students from MES Indian School in Qatar excelled in the recently held Indian Institute of Technology-Joint Entrance Examination (IIT-JEE), the top engineering entrance examination in India, Scholasys Educational Consultancy said in a statement. IIT-JEE is an academic examination held annually, and is considered the sole prerequisite for admission to IITs.

Arup Biswas, who pursued the Math, Physics and Chemistry stream, was selected for admission to Computer Science and Engineering at IIT Tirupati. Biswas also achieved 97.8% in the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) 12th board exam. His JEE mains rank was 449 and IIT

advanced rank AIR 934.

Kamaruzaman, another talented student from the same group, achieved a "remarkable score" in the JEE main and was selected for admission to Mechanical Engineering at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Calicut, an institute of national significance, a press statement noted.
