Doha: Ideal Indian School (IIS) celebrated 7th Independence Day of India with high patriotic fervour.
School President Dr. Hassan Kunhi M.P hoisted the Indian flag amidst recitation of the national anthem. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Hassan Kunhi urged everyone to embrace the right patriotic sentiments and to be truthful and devoted to the cause of national integration.
“It is a proud and joyous moment for every citizen of India that brings Indians from all walks of life together in a spirit of oneness and harmony and it is also an occasion to pay tribute to the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives and fought to free their motherland from the clutches of the oppressors” he added.
Principal Syed shoukath Ali extended his greetings on the occasion. Heads of sections, heads of departments and teachers and other staff attended the function.
