Deans of QU Colleges laud graduates

Deans of colleges at Qatar University (QU) have lauded their recent graduates. As many as 3,188 students (2,455 females and 733 males) from the Class of 2020 had graduated.

College of Sharia and Islamic Studies dean Ibrahim al-Ansari said the high-quality academic programmes equip graduates to successfully engage in shaping their nation's destiny.

“The College has become a reliable reference that combines the Arab-Islamic identity, advances Islam in its bright image, promotes co-existence and dialogue and has become known regionally and globally for leadership and excellence in legal education.”

College of Arts and Sciences dean Dr Ibrahim al-Kaabi recalled that this year's graduation was special, given the exceptional circumstances due to the pandemic, which ushered in radical changes in the teaching and learning process. "Everyone's sincere efforts merit gratitude and respect," he said.

College of Engineering dean Dr Khaled Naji observed that the graduates proved their worth during their time at QU, efficiently and effectively.

College of Health Sciences dean Dr Hanan Abdul Rahim pointed out that the graduates quickly adapted to the distance learning concept, especially in the second year of the Covid-19 pandemic.
