Doha: The Cabinet which met yesterday with Prime Minister and Minister of Interior H E Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani in the chair took necessary measures to ratify a number of agreements between Qatar and other countries.

 

The Cabinet took the necessary measures to ratify an agreement between the government of the State of Qatar and the government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on the encouragement of mutual protection of investments and another agreement between the government of the State of Qatar and the government of the Democratic Republic of the Congo regarding the elimination of double taxation with respect to taxes on income and the prevention of tax evasion and avoidance.

It also ratified an agreement between the government of the State of Qatar and the government of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea on mutual exemption of visa requirement for holders of diplomatic, special and service passports and another agreement  between the government of the State of Qatar and the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights regarding the establishment of United Nations Human Rights Training and Documentation Centre for South-West Asia and the Arab Region in Doha.

It took necessary measures to ratify amending the Arab Charter on Human Rights.

The Cabinet also gave approval of Qatar Tourism’s participation in a number of exhibitions to be held during 2021.
