19 countries to take part in International Hunting and Falcons Exhibition (S'hail)

Doha: The preparations to organise the 5th edition of Katara International Hunting & Falcons Exhibition (S’hail 2021) have entered final phase as 19 countries are set to participate in the event.

The participating countries include Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Kuwait, Germany, the UK, the US, Spain, Italy, Pakistan, Belgium, Poland, Turkey, South Africa, Russia, France, Lebanon, and New Zealand, Katara has posted on its official Twitter account.

In a statement released by the Cultural Village Foundation (Katara) said that 160 international companies representing 19 countries from different continents will participate in the exhibition which will be held next week (from September 7 to 11).

The exhibition is one of the largest international exhibitions specialised in falcons, which will include numerous activities and events; namely, falcon auction and exhibitions for falcons and haunting. A pavilion will be also dedicated in the exhibition for hunting-related handicrafts and falcon supplies.

General Manager of  Katara, Prof Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti, said: “The preparations are going on for the launch of the fifth edition, which will be hosted in Hall 12 and Al Hikma Square in Katara. This edition will be very distinguished as the space has been increased compared to the previous editions.”

He further said that the S’hail 2021 has become a global economic and marketing platform in which major international companies are racing to participate to display the latest types of weapons and the best supplies in the world of hunting, falcons and trips.

It also provides an important platform to introduce Qatari culture and heritage to international visitors displaying a main element of the heritage of Qatari ancestors related to hunting and falconry.
Al Sulaiti explained that reception of applications for obtaining licensees to purchase hunting weapons through Metrash2 application will continue until today (August 30).
