Umm Salal Municipality represented by General Monitoring Section removed 116 abandoned vehicles from different places across the Municipality during a recent campaign.
Under the campaign, municipal inspectors put stickers on 293 abandoned vehicles which are being removed following the legal procedures, said the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) in a statement.
The campaign was conducted in cooperation with the Committee for Removing Abandoned Vehicles, Mechanical Department and General Cleanliness Department at MME and security agencies of the Ministry of Interior.
Umm Salal Municipality called people to report in case of any complaints through hotline No.184 to help implement public hygiene law No. 18 of 2017.
The campaign will continue until the removal of all targeted abandoned vehicles in the area.
