DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead and manage the Engineering team to deliver the project.Study and understand the project scope, drawings and specifications in detail.
Ensure that up to date project drawings and specification (including sub-contractors’ documents) are available at the project office.
Ensure that all the technical information required for the execution of the works is available and passed on to the project team as required.
Develop short term programmes in conjunction with the General Foreman / Foreman and Sub-contractors and ensure that the works are carried out in line with these programmes.
Discuss the required resources to deliver the short term programmes with the General Foreman / Foreman and Sub-contractors and ensure that they are deployed.
Manage the sub-contractors and ensure that they are working in line with the project requirements.
Ensure that the necessary requests and notices are submitted as required.
Advise the Project Manager of any changes to the scope, drawings and specifications.
Allocate duties to the Site Engineers and monitor their work.
Carry out Safety Inductions.
Ensure that the works are carried out safely.
Ensure that the works are carried out to the required quality.
Manage the testing, commissioning and handover process of the project.
SPECIFIC SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE
Minimum 6 years experience in construction.Good communication skills. Good command of English language (speaking, reading and writing)Must be Computer literate (MS Office) and knowledgeable of Microsoft Projects and Auto CAD is an advantage.GCC experience is a great advantage.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
University Graduate/Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field.Professional Certificates as appropriateGCC experience is a great advantage.
