Job Description :
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure the contract is respected (as to time, money, quality, information flow, communication and organization).
Monitor the contracts with the Client, Classification Society, Suppliers and Subcontractors (content, planning, progress and costs).
Project Planning and execution
Draw up a project management plan (describe the building process of the project as well as the way the project is managed/monitored).
Assure the timely execution of the project activities with the desired quality, according to the timetable and within the budget, in close collaboration with responsible departments.
Identify and report impending deviations and ensure that measures are taken on time by the responsible department.
Manage the project team, take measures to ensure and monitor correct implementation of instructions.
Coordinate internal project discussions with all the stakeholders in the implementation of the project.
Report the status of the project on a regular basis to the management.
Draw up the Outstanding item list for defects observed during construction, delegate and follow up of such items
Commissioning & After Sales:
Coordinate the commissioning, sea trials and delivery of the ship to the client, in coordination with Classification society, contractors, and suppliers.
Responsible for liaison and coordination with regulatory bodies, clients, contractors, manufacturers, suppliers.
Prepare various project related documents for the client and classification societies and ensure their timely submission and documentation
Coordinate timely delivery of projects to the customers and ensure customer satisfaction.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
Organisational skills, quality conscious, flexible and customer-oriented;
Work experience in a multi-cultural environment is preferred.
Completed education in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering or equivalent;
Good oral and written command of English;
5 to 10 years of relevant work experience.
Knowledge of Project Management;
Good communication skills;
Logistic, management and reporting techniques;
Ability to set priorities and maintain an overview;
