The Qatar motorcycle Grand Prix is a motorcycling event that is part of the FIM Grand Prix motorcycle racing season. This will be conducted at Losail International Circuit on 20, 21, 22 & 23 March 2014. Event starts on 20 march & main event on 23 march. Marc Márquez will start the season as the defending riders' champion in the MotoGP category, with Honda the defending manufacturers' champions. Pol Espargaró and Maverick Viñales will be the reigning Moto2 and Moto3 champions respectively.
Qatar is turning into one of the most significant events on the MotoGP calendar. As the first race on the calendar this is the first opportunity to experience the return to the big 1000cc engines and their pilots in full anger after the winter testing and hibernation. Qatar is the event where speculation meets the road.

The Qatar Grand Prix started on 2nd October 2004 at Losail International Circuit lies on the outskirts of Doha, the capital city of Qatar. The track cost $58 million USD. The first Grand Prix was named Marlboro Grand Prix of Qatar. This year it is named CommercialBank Grand Prix of Qatar 2014. It will be held on 23 March 2014 and it will be the first of the 2014 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season.Also 2014 Grand Prix season will be the 66th F.I.M. Road Racing World Championship season.
Losail International Circuit constructed on 2004 has a total length of 5.380 m / 3.343 miles and a Width of 12m. It is having 6 left corners and 10 right corners. Longest straight of this circuit is 1.068 m / 0.664 miles.The track itself is a flowing layout of 5.4 kilometres, surrounded by artificial grass designed to prevent sand from the neighbouring desert from blowing onto the circuit. The main straight is over a kilometre in length and there is a good mix of medium and high-speed corners, including a couple of quick left-handers which has proved particularly popular with the riders.
In 2008 Qatar celebrated the first night time Grand Prix in history, following the construction of permanent outdoor lighting. The switch to night time racing was a success and has continued to be so, with the Qatar event now established as one of the most spectacular on the MotoGP calendar.
In 2004 the inaugural Marlboro Grand Prix of Qatar, won by Sete Gibernau. In addition the circuit hosted the 2006 Grand Prix Masters of Qatar won by Nigel Mansell. Most win (rider) on Qatar are 5 times each Casey Stoner (2007,2008,2009,2011,2005) & Jorge Lorenzo (2004,2006,2007,2012& 2013).Manufacturer most wins at Qatar Grand Prix is Aprilia, 12 times, 6 times each since 2004 in 250cc & 125cc categories.
