Mowasalat will introduce a new service from the Doha Bus Station to Hamad International Airport (HIA) starting from July 21. 
According to a company statement, this is being done to increase connectivity between more areas in the city and HIA. The new route through Airport Road, Al Najma (main road) and F-Ring road is one of the three services launched between the city areas and the new airport.


The other services, as reported yesterday, are between the Doha Bus Station and the HIA (Bus No.747) and Limited Stop Service (LSS 777) between the HIA and City Center Doha (CCD).
In addition, the transport company has also has increased the frequency of some of its external routes. 
As part of the preparations to meet the additional demand for buses and taxis expected during the Eid al-Fitr, the company is working out some effective plans, it said.
The company has carried out maintenance of a number of its buses and coordinated with the taxi franchisees to supply adequate numbers of vehicles at those places where more demand is expected. 
Mowasalat Operations Room is working to identify taxi routes in districts with the highest densities and the highest demand on Karwa vehicles and public transport buses.
The company has also assigned drivers to longer shifts in order to meet the needs of shoppers and tourists. 
It has also announced the plans to increase the taxis and limousines in their parking areas outside the arrivals’ terminals of Hamad International Airport.
The company has also upgraded the metres of taxis with a view to adding a quality feature to services, protecting the interests and requirements of passengers and controlling the payment process.
