Man fined for recklessness, driving without license

A Doha Criminal Court has fined a Tunisian man QR3,000 for driving a vehicle without a valid Qatar driving license and QR3,000 for reckless driving which resulted in injuring another person.

Local Arabic daily Arrayah has reported that the defendant was ordered by the court to pay QR4,000 in collaboration with the insurance company concerned as compensation for the injury.

The defendant was driving a vehicle without a valid driving license on Salwa Road and due to reckless driving he hit another vehicle injuring the motorist. The other vehicle, according to the investigations, was in its proper lane. At the investigation the defendant admitted to not possessing a Qatar driving license.
