HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani has attended a reception ceremony hosted by Los Angeles mayor Eric Garcetti at Getty House.
The reception ceremony, in which a number of Qatari institutions and agencies took part, was attended by an elite of US figures including heads of companies and businessmen.
Talks during the reception ceremony dealt with areas of co-operation and means of promoting and developing them.
Following the reception ceremony, HH the Emir attended a dinner banquet hosted by the mayor. The banquet was attended by senior officials and businessmen in California.
Earlier, HH the Emir met with mayor Garcetti. Talks during the meeting held at Getty House discussed relations of co-operation and prospects of enhancing them in various fields along with a number of topics of common interest, especially in the political, economic and cultural levels.
The meeting was attended by members of the official delegation accompanying HH the Emir.
