Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation — Kahramaa — said yesterday that it is ready to handle any emergency situations related to water and power supply during Ramadan.

All necessary technical and administrative procedures have been taken in transmission and distribution networks. Electricity Network Affairs has completed all maintenance works at transmission substations and control centers are standby. The technical and emergency teams, and call centers are ready to handle any incident during the holy month and respond to complaints around the clock.

Kahramaa said it is ready to meet overloads that may happen in Ramadan at any institutions due to the massive consumption in mosques in particular where demand for electricity and water noticeably increases.

Water will be pumped as usual round the clock during the whole month to ensure stable water supplies for customers. Water standby teams are ready to handle any water shortage incident anywhere. Customer Service Centers are open during Ramadan form 9 am to 2 pm. The call center 991 operates 24/7 to report any incident.

Tanker Filling Stations (TFS) will be operated seven days a week to meet all customer needs. The timings at different stations are as follows: Al  Sailiah and Um Salal 6am to 11am, 11am to 4pm, 7pm to midnight, midnight to 5am. Al Wukair, Al Khor, and Al Shayhaniyah 6am to 11am, 11 am to 4pm. Al Shamal, Mesaieed and Jemiliyah 6am to 11am. On Fridays, the morning shift will be from 6am to 11 am while the afternoon shift will be from 12.30 pm to 5.30 pm
